02-07-22 This Wk with AJ DePriest
In the early 90s, AJ DePriest was a world healthcare policy analyst studying Montana healthcare legislation reform while completing her degree in Healthcare Administration. As a founding member, speaker, and administrative director of ProjectHEAL (Health Education Alliance), she aided in uniting this grassroots Montana organization to successfully repeal the State’s government-run, socialized healthcare laws (Senate Bill 285) and replace them with a comprehensive market-based healthcare plan.
In January 2021, AJ founded Free States Project TN to gather concerned voices and steer topics for research to her 28-member Tennessee-based think tank, The TN Liberty Network. This group has been supplying state lawmakers and policy leaders actionable intel on issues ranging from COVID mandates, illegal immigration, election integrity, and government-run education.
The Liberty Network’s research discovered the specific, ugly requirements that the U.S. Department of Education ties to the distribution of money to schools through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ARP ESSER Fund).
Key date to remember: April 22, 2021 - when the "final interim requirements" were released for distribution of funds; this was the day the rules for receiving the "blood money" began.
At the end of this discussion, AJ gives very important action steps to take at the local, district and district school levels.
