WRONG! This is NOT a left right issue! BOTH have been controlled by the 1% who've used FEAR & done ALL possible in my 6 decades to DESTROY family and DIVIDE us! Most, but FAR left, WANT & DESIRE the SAME thing - ability to live a happy life with LITTLE govt, and why welfare state, unions etc WERE created, ALL of it to make us THINK we NEED big brother, laws etc! To change it, since it is part of the Constitution, will take an amendment which will have to be ratified by the states. I don't see that happening. But if it does, the change would be going forward. Acts in the past could not be charged under a changed definition.

You need to look up the definitions of conspiracy, treason, and insurrection. What that one woman did did not have anything to do with trying to overthrow a President. She tampered with an election for a new President. It does not constitute either treason nor insurrection. I'm angry as hell that it happened, but I know it is neither treason nor insurrection.
